A special room with a view needs your vote!
Where there used to be a couple of chairs, pitched perfectly on a hillside to allow a relaxed view over their small holding and the stunning Carmarthenshire countryside, garden owners Julian and Fiona Wormald have now built a Shepherd’s style hut. Not just any hut, but a hand crafted room with spectacular views that sits comfortably above their recently developed wildflower hay meadow, and which has now been shortlisted in the ‘Nature’s Haven’ category of the Shed of the Year competition.
“It’s a hut to sit in, rest awhile, think, and watch the clouds go by. I never stop down near the house, garden or round the fields – there’s always too much to do, but I can relax up here,” says Julian. “When we open the garden for charity, through the National Garden Scheme, our visitors love climbing up ‘longevity hill’ to reach it, and it’s often a long time before they head back down again!”
It would be wonderful if this National Garden Scheme owners’ shed won.
Voting closes on 29th August at 11:59pm so please take the time to vote for ‘The Hut’ and support our garden owners by clicking here
