A 17 acre historic garden with an abundance of rare trees and shrubs. Woodland and waterside planting with extensive herbaceous borders. Meconopsis, candelabra primulas, various Styrax and Cornus kousa. Other garden features inc Bakewells wrought iron arbour, a yew tunnel and fine C18 statuary and water features. Opens Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th June.
A deceptive country-style garden in Swadlincote, a real gem. The garden is on two levels of approx ½ acre. Packed herbaceous borders designed for colour. Shrubs, baskets and tubs. Lots of roses. Greenhouses, raised-bed vegetable area, fruit trees and two ponds. Free range chicken area. Plenty of seating to relax and take in the wonderful planting from two passionate gardeners. Open Sunday 18th June.
Plants women’s ½ acre cottage style garden on a slope created by the present owners over 30 years. Many mixed borders planted with many choice and unusual trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennial, bulbs and annuals to provide year-round interest. Several seats to view different aspects of the garden. Opens Sunday 18th June.
