Uncover some treasures at our midsummer auction
We are delighted to announce the launch of our live and silent auction lots on offer as part of our Music in the Garden midsummer party, which is being held on Friday 21st June. The evening will be opened by National Garden Scheme president, Mary Berry and is being hosted in the exquisite private garden of Hazelby House, near Newbury to raise funds for the vital nursing and health charities which the National Garden Scheme supports.
During the evening, veteran auctioneer, Nick Bonham will lead our live auction of a small group of money-can’t-buy opportunities including a jacket worn by Mary Berry on the Great British Bake Off, a private tour of acclaimed garden designer Tom Stuart-Smith’s garden, and a Grand Tier Box at the Royal Albert Hall for the Last Night of the Proms. You can see the details of all our auction lots on our online auction site.

Lots include exclusive tours to some breath-taking private gardens, a Gaze Burvill Meander conversation seat and some rare trees grown at Kew gardens. There is the perfect getaway for Jane Austen fans at Goodnestone Park, recently restored and renovated to its full glory, and an overnight stay and seven-course tasting menu at the Vineyard Hotel. Or you could bid to spend a day on location with Clive Nichols, one of the world’s finest flower and garden photographers or have a morning on the gallops with Richard Hannon.
The silent auction is live now, and we’d like to invite all of our supporters to browse the lots and see what is on offer. Everyone is welcome to bid, even if you are unable to attend the event itself – simply register on the site, click on the lot you are interested in and place your bid. With such a wide range of lots there is something for everyone.
The silent auction will close at 8.30pm on Friday 21st June.
