A small suburban garden featuring four individual garden spaces in one.

Rear garden, dominated by 8 giant hosta, has a simple rectangular lawn with prairie style plantings crossed with subtropical species including Persicaria, Monarda, Crocosmia, Miscanthus, Calamagrostis, Salvia. Contorted apple trees (growth trained around hair curlers) and ancient pear give the garden maturity.

A further space allows the growing of tomatoes and unusual climbers including aristolochia. The side of the house is used as a vertical allotment for growing runner beans, soft fruit and strawberry.
