Brook View Care Home

Our colourful and vibrant garden is spread over two main areas, one warm and sunny, the other cooler and shadier. A delightful pond area, games lawn and mixed borders, then walking past our greenhouse leads to further gardens and raised beds, in a courtyard setting. Residents will help out with the production of many of our plants, all expertly managed by our gardener.

About Brook View Care Home

Brook View is a Nursing Home, in a semi-rural setting, on the edge of West Moors village. We all take great pride in our garden, and recognise that for most of our residents, gardening has been a major part of their lives, and so should still offer pleasure, activity, a beautiful outlook, exercise, fragrance and food! The garden’s sunnier side offers a Games Lawn, the pool and fountain for socialising, and mixed borders brightened with plants grown in the greenhouse. The greenhouse is leads to our courtyard garden – much used by our residents. Residents also help propagate plants in regular Garden clubs.
The garden certainly offers something for everyone, although for one group of visitors, we try to offer a little less – Deer! They visit regularly from the nearby meadows, and provide a horticultural challenge for us all, and occasionally a free pruning service.
For flora and fauna Brook View has much to offer the community we live in. and our gardens are a testament to the love of gardens displayed by our residents.
