Surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside with breathtaking views across the jurassic coast, you will find our historic nine acre estate. Gileston Manor, in the Vale of Glamorgan has been loved and lived in since 1320 and recently, lovingly renovated and restored by the current owners. There is so much to see and explore and will definitely delight any keen gardener - a perfect blend of old and new.

About Gileston Manor

Step through the garden gates to the front of the Queen Anne listed Manor House, dressed in an ancient wisteria that covers the property. Sweeping front lawns and formal borders run as far as the eye can see, down to our natural lake, home to our Black Swans. Stroll the lawns to view the David Emanuel elegant white border display and a variety of beautiful trees. Surrounded by a panoramic view of the sea, countryside and woodland.

Our walled garden is home to a variety of plant collections from across the world, visit our all new for 2024 Japanese Garden. Our Estate has a plant enthusiast’s garden and welcomes visitors from all genres of horticulture. Rose gardens, kitchen gardens, Church gardens, topiary collections, woodland planting and historical gardens – we’ve got it all! Our rookery is home to a variety of rare poultry, sheep and our resident baby Alpacas, who will be keen to greet you.
There is so much more to see and explore on our pretty estate, we certainly are one of the best kept secrets in the Vale! We can’t wait to welcome you.

From Cardiff airport take B4265 to Llantwit Major. After 3m turn L at the petrol stn. Go under the bridge, turn R follow yellow NGS signs to Gileston Manor. Situated in the small village.

Visit by Arrangement

This garden opens for By Arrangement visits from March to 20 December for groups of up to 60.

Please contact the garden owner to discuss your requirements and arrange a date for a group or bespoke visit.
