About Pembroke Lodge, 140 Dover Road
This is a relatively new garden, with the majority of planting being done from 2019 onward. Over 250 varieties of plants can be found including traditional and new varieties of roses, clematis, geranium and salvias. The garden is divided into 3 principal areas by way of walls, gates and trellis and the beds are all contained by long sleepers allowing for different shapes and depths of flower beds and borders. Climbers adorn most walls, borders are filled with perennials, grasses, a few evergreen shrubs and a sprinkling of annuals to fill the flowering season. Some of the older fruit trees and bigger shrubs help to create height whilst leaving plenty of space for lawn, decking/patio areas and a couple of quiet more secluded places to sit. A garden beginning to find it’s feet but still spaces for improvement and development!
