About 14 Conesford Drive
The garden has been designed in a cottage garden style to give colour and interest throughout the whole year and have every inch of the borders packed with plants which intertwine and jostle with each other to create good combinations. The front border is a mass perennials of differing heights and textures being mixed with annuals and bulbs, many planted in large drifts to create contrast and cohesion. The long steep side passage has been constructed with sleepers to give two terraces for growing a variety of vegetables. The back garden has two distinct areas – a shady area under two existing mature silver birch trees, and a free-draining steep sunny slope on the opposite side. These areas have been treated differently, with plants specifically chosen for dry shade or dry sun positions. A central lawn in the back garden is surrounded by borders to give a flowery enclosure, and the whole split into different levels to create interest.
The emphasis throughout has been to develop a garden packed with pleasing planting schemes that result in fascinating combinations of colour, foliage and texture.
