About 26 Offham Road
This is a modest sized town garden with a large variety of plants, shrubs and small trees. The trees have been planted to create interest through all the seasons of the year.
It also has a compact Mediterranean style courtyard with herbs, lavender and a young vine.
There is a little vegetable plot fitted into an area at the bottom of the garden including raspberry plants. Other vegetables are grown on obelisks surrounded by shrubs and flowers in the main garden.
A comfortable summerhouse offers visitors a different perspective.
The garden has plenty for wildlife. There is an old established mixed hedgerow on one side with elderberry, cherry tree, ivy, brambles, roses, buddleia and honeysuckle. A tiny wildlife pond is also attracting frogs.
A utility area, hidden behind a gate, is used for rain water collecting, potting and composting.
The hard landscaping forms a circular route round the central lawn. Arches lead to both sides of the lawn and a golden hop, clematis and honeysuckle have been planted to climb up them.
Seating areas in the garden offer different views and one bench has a rose bower above it formed by two fragrant thornless roses.
Much of the planting consists of scented flowers including jasmine, lilac, daphne, roses, lavender and philadelphus.
It is felt this garden demonstrates what can be achieved in a limited area.
