32 Wood Hey Grove

The garden was Graham's retirement landscape project and continues to evolve 13 yrs on. The planting only really started when Janine also retired 5 yrs ago and the garden is now taking shape. The hard landscaping is a mix of complex curves over 4 levels with paved patios, hardwood decking, lawns, trees and herbaceous borders complementing the overall scheme.

About 32 Wood Hey Grove

When the garden was originally designed the plan was to utilise as much of the plot as we could. That original plan has evolved and changed over the years and we now feel the odd shaped plot gives us a good balance of relaxing social space and soft planting.
As the garden was predominantly clay and builders rubble, a great deal was removed off site during construction and then over 400 feet of land drain installed before new soil was introduced.
The planting continues to evolve as Janine experiments to see what works where and we feel there is plenty to interest the visitor who wants to check out our gardening journey to date.
