About 38 Main Street

The 1/3 acre garden displays a variety of themes. The centrepiece is a bamboo fenced area enclosing a planting of (almost) exclusively East Asian species, mainly Japanese, Chinese and Taiwanese. This area also contains a wood fired, traditional Japanese Ofuro outdoor soaking bath. In addition there is a classic herbaceous border, a raised bed of rhododendrons, a pond area, vegetable plot, greenhouse and an artist’s studio (profits from any art sold will go to NGS charities) . Garden at its best in May/June.
