About 4 Southview Cottages
The planting combines eclectic range of plants; perennial favourites like hostas, thalictrums, globe thistles, persicaria, salvias, and dahlias; annuals; a wide range of tropical plants, including gingers, hardy begonias, cannas, alocosias, colocasias; and a wide variety of aroids; bromeliads, tillandsias, and philodendrons.
We have some small specimen trees, including Himalayan Birches, Pawlownia Tomentosa, Indian Bean Tree, and Schefflera Taiwaniana.
We have some tall bananas in the shade of the pine tree. One banana has successfully fruited this year, and it was amazing to watch the bees pollinate the flowers, the fruit developing though unlikely to ripen.
We have two vertical green walls, the exterior exposed sunny wall with cacti and succulents, and shaded courtyard wall with ferns, hostas, and other perennials.
Please note that there is no footpath of the nearside of the road. Please use footpath on far side of the road to approach our location, and then cross directly over to our entrance when safe to do so.
