Wildlife area with pond, grasshopper bank and small wild grass meadow. Hedgehog boxes, bat box, numerous bird boxes and bug hotels to encourage wildlife. Mature wisteria, ferns and mixed planting borders.

About 4 Stannington Crescent

Please take time to look out for all the birdboxes, bug hotels and hedgehog homes throughout the garden and on the house. Many old kettles have found a new home in the hedges and have successfully been nested in. We also had swifts in the swift box, on the front of the house, last year.

The wildlife pond is home to newts, frogs, and numerous other aquatic creatures. Next to the pond is a woodpile, grass mound, stinging nettle patches and an old hollowed out log for insects to enjoy . Leaving old rotting wood has resulted in a wonderful show of many stag beetles flying around the garden in the May evening time.
