The garden provides a setting for Barton Manor, a Grade II listed building (not open). The main significance of the garden is its historic association with the Royal family and the influence of both Prince Albert and King Edward VII on the garden design. Features inc a large pond with boat house, herbaceous borders, specimen trees, cork oak plantation, walled garden and a yew tree maze.

Enter the property from the Whippingham Rd (A3021). Two gate lodges punctuate the top of the drive. Continue along the tree-lined drive & turn R into the car park field.
