About Bush House
Set in 8 acres of grassland over five years, from a simple layout a 2 acre garden has emerged. Dual level ponds are flanked on both sides by deep raised herbaceous borders. The Sandstone paved terrace and paths lead to a walled parterre/knot garden framed by roses and wisteria. The Orchard is divided from the main garden by rose and vine covered wrought iron trellis. Two small kitchen gardens, greenhouses and fruit cage provide organically grown produce.
Nearly 1000 recently planted native broadleaved trees shelter the fields surrounding the house and provide a pleasant walk with year round interest and host wildlife. The trees were planted in 2007, 2011 and 2013. More trees planted recently.
