Cedarwood

Cedarwood - a 1,240 square metre plantswoman's garden developed over the last 20 yrs. It is planted for year-round colour. Plants are chosen for their attractiveness to wildlife as well as people. It inc various mixed borders, a pond, alpine crevice garden and woodland planting (no lawn). Additionally there is a newly replanted matrix style grass bed. Many species of bees live here due to the variety of habitats and flower type.

About Cedarwood

Cedarwood is in the conservation area of Whatton in the Vale, which is a very attractive Vale of Belvoir village. The front garden features a spring ‘woodland’ area under a large copper beech tree, and unusual lavender spiral. The back garden is bountiful with a medley of flowers ranging from the alpine house and cowslip border in spring, to the irises and roses in June. Vibrant colour continues right through to October, with the late summer and autumn flowering herbaceous plants from crinums to salvias.

This garden opens for By Arrangement visits from 5 July to 26 September for groups of 10+.
