Compton's Yard

The “Courtyard” garden and the adjacent “Wildlife” garden are owned by Compton’s Yard Charitable Trust, (CYCT), Llanidloes. Both gardens are maintained by volunteers. The Courtyard Garden began life in 1982 with the setting up of the Trust, while the adjacent Wildlife Garden, was established later, on land gifted to the Trust by the late Dr Andy Scrase, and was designed by Emma Maxwell.

About Compton's Yard

Vertical garden display is in original pots from the 1980’s designed by Nicolas Saunders, (founder of Neals Yard at Covent Garden).
