About Fairmile Lea

Victorian house with grounds of 1 acre adjacent to Fairmile Common. The house has a Sanctuary Garden with grasses and flowers, through which a pathway takes you to a seating area.

Mature trees frame one side of the garden and in the middle of the main lawn the owners have started a programme to regrow a giant Acacia tree cut due to the effects of drought and disease.

A mound covering an air raid shelter divides the rear garden and is designed as wilderness.

On the other side is a more formal arrangement centred upon a large natural pond with a bog garden and graced by a ruined castle folly.
