About Gable House

A garden of all year interest from the emergence of Aconites, Snowdrops and Hellebores in readiness for our February Snowdrop Day. This is followed by Narcissus, Wood Anemones, Crocus and Cyclamen together with other flowering perennials and bulbs.
Early summer in this one-acre garden is the start of our Shrub Roses breaking into colour surrounded by Hardy Geraniums, Iris and other early summer favourites such as Dieramas (Angel’s Fishing Rods) and Aquilegias which grow between the many interesting trees and shrubs.
As the summer breaks into autumn the garden bursts into further colour with Asters, Solidago, Dahlias, Crocosmia, Anemone japonica and many varieties of Colchicum and autumn bulbs.
There are three well stocked greenhouses and a productive fruit and vegetable garden. Refreshments available
