Gorse Hill Nature Reserve

Situated on a sandstone ridge offering spectacular views across the Lancashire Plain, our wildflower meadow in summer is brimming with a wide variety of wildflowers and grasses. The meadow's wildlife pond is patrolled by dragonflies and damselflies and the air is full of butterflies and bees. Mown grassy paths take you through the meadow to enable close views of the flowers and insects.
