About Green Hedges

This mature S.W. facing garden surrounds the property and has lovely views to Dartmoor and local countryside. Well established colourful borders include shrubs and bulbs, perennials and annuals to enjoy. The productive vegetable garden is run on organic principles and there is a soft fruit area. Mature apple and pear trees lead to three areas for shade plants, one of which edges a small stream. Sunny planting surrounds the sheltered patio with pots and seating. A large copper beech and climber clad pergola adjoin the rear boundary hedge and a spring bed beneath an old lilac. Stone walls abound bordering more planting areas and there are two greenhouses. This varied garden is continually being improved and developed with much grown from seeds and cuttings. There is an alpine bed to enjoy. Latest project extending streamside planting.
