1930s designed classic partitioned garden of approx. quarter of an acre. Inner walled garden with folly; outer gardens divided into three areas. Raised beds, mixed herbaceous borders, large shrubs and acers. Paved and gravel paths, stone steps and lily pond. Views of Torbay, Teign Estuary and Haytor.

About Haytor House

The garden was designed as a project for horticultural students and is made up of a series of walled ‘rooms’, accessed by steps, wooden doors and gates. Many of the beds are raised in stone walls and the planting is mainly perennials and large shrubs.
