About Lostwithiel Gardens
An ancient stannary town, Lostwithiel dates back to the C12. A bustling and colourful little town with a strong sense of community and camaraderie. Our group of gardens comprise of 7 great gardens, each with their own sense of style, most of them typically small-town gardens. They are guaranteed to inspire those who have their own small garden and showcase what can really be done with a town garden. The route between the gardens is not for the faint hearted as there will be some small but steep hills to walk between the gardens. We recommend that you park in the town and start at Llawnroc (PL22 0BU) where a route map will be provided (maps will be provided at each garden but payments both cash and card can only be made at Llawnroc & 7 Gilbury Hill). The garden of Meanders is located at the top of Bodmin Hill which is steep. If you do not wish to walk to this garden, please park on Bodmin Hill or in the Lostwithiel School car park as there is no parking on the property. You could always catch the train to Lostwithiel and walk from the station which is conveniently located. Three of our gardens this year will be offering teas, Benbole House, Llawnroc and Silverlake Cottage.
