About Manor Lodge
Leading from the back of the house is a path flanked by 30 metre of herbaceous border, large informal lawn and a Japanese Cherry Tree avenue. There is a small courtyard with exotic plants in pots, a recent addition of a gravel garden and a woodland walk. To the side of the house is a more formal lawn with narrow borders divided by box buttresses. A meandering brick path takes you through areas of acers, roses and damp garden, past a rose covered gazebo towards the kitchen garden. This area is still in progress but you will find a green house, raised vegetable beds, chickens, fruit cages, compost bins and leaf mould containers. This area leads on to a wild flower meadow area and a wildlife lake.
There are a number of large specimen trees including Black Pine, Scots Pine and Eucalyptus within the grounds to the front of the house together with Rhododendrons, Azaleas and smaller rare and specimen trees and shrubs.
By arrangement information – undercover seating for approx. 20 in the event of inclement weather. Onsite parking for 12 cars.
