About Parnham House

Originally built in the 1440’s Parnham was completely remodelled by architect John Nash in 1810, who was renowned for his work on Buckingham Palace. Parnham has a wealth of history behind it and 133 acres of parkland and gardens. The grounds were landscaped by Inigo Thomas and are Grade ll listed on the Register of Historic Parks & Gardens. The grounds include a lake, deer park, river, waterfall, landscaped lawns, sculptures, fountains and a 1km lime tree-lined drive.
James and Sophie Perkins acquired Parnham House approximately 5 years ago, and their aim is to empathetically restore the house, gardens and surrounding grounds. The house and gardens have a timeless and magical quality, hidden away in a dreamy corner of Dorset. It’s a place that captures the imagination and offers a unique experience for visitors.
