Imaginative and inspirational is how the garden has been described by visitors. A huge variety of perennials, grasses, shrubs and trees combined with an eye for colour and design. Jungle area with exotic lush planting contrasts with tender perennials particularly salvias thriving in raised beds and in gravel garden with stream. Unique and interesting objects complement planting.

From June onward the garden has a progression of colour reaching a crescendo in July when a large collection of day lilies, Crocosmia and Helenium hit their stride. The colour continues into autumn when an extensive collection of Asters, ornamental grasses and Salvias along with other tender perennials create a dramatic display. Many of the plants seen in the garden will also be available to buy from the large plant stall (small nursery!).
