Rudd Cottage

In a peaceful Exmoor valley an informal and diverse garden blended into the surrounding rural and woodland landscape. 1 acre garden and 8 further acres of fields, ponds and streams to explore, and picnic. Spring flowers are followed by a succession of flowering trees and shrubs, mature rhododendrons, Cornus kousa and perennial plants. There are 30+ shrub roses plus many others.

About Rudd Cottage

The garden has been reclaimed and extended after many years of neglect. Some mature planting remains. Available materials have been used for building dry stone walls and rustic steps.
There are different areas to discover and we are happy to give a guided tour initially after which you are welcome to explore and picnic at leisure.
There are some steep slopes and good footwear is recommended.
