Garden belonging to George Carter described by the Sunday Times as 'one of the 10 best garden designers in Britain'. 1830s farmyard and formal gardens in two acres. Inspired by C17 formal gardens, the site consists of a series of interconnecting rooms with framed views and vistas designed in a simple palette of evergreens and deciduous trees and shrubs such as available in that period.

About Silverstone Farm

Garden created over the past 27 years consists of a series of formal architectural enclosures divided up by hedges of Yew, Hornbeam, Beech, Box and Holly.

Also contains a series of ornamental buildings, furniture and objects designed by George Carter.

Subject of TV programmes and many books and magazine features.
