Spinners Garden

Peaceful woodland garden overlooking the Lymington valley with many rare and unusual plants. Drifts of trilliums, erythroniums and anemones light up the woodland floor in early spring. The garden continues to be developed with new plants added to the collections and the layout changed to enhance the views over a pond and small arboretum. The house was rebuilt in 2014 to reflect its garden setting.

About Spinners Garden

Spinners is a peaceful woodland garden overlooking the Lymington valley with a reputation for rare and unusual plants built up over the last sixty years.

In the upper woodland garden the trees and shrubs have been selected to give interest for long periods by concentrating on foliage and habit not just flowers. In the spring the rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias are in bloom but the real stars are at your feet. The underplanting forms a tapestry of colour woven from large ranges of trilliums, erythroniums, pulmonarias, shortias, wood anemones and epimediums.

The lower garden walk takes you past the pond and into a small arboretum where many new specimens have been planted.
