About Stone Barn

The garden, from which we derive so much pleasure, has taken 33 years to design and plant including mistakes and changes.

It comprises 6 elements:
A lawn with flower beds and borders of shrubs and perennials. A formal garden with ornamental pond, borders of spring plants and bulbs, pots with colourful planting and climbing plants on the house. A medium sized pool garden with many water lilies, pergola and orchard forms a peaceful area to sit. The vegetable and fruit garden is planted within a formal parterre. A very floriferous greenhouse. A 4 acre field with choice trees planted by the owners.
The trees, shrubs and perennials include the very best of varieties which have flourished over the years providing colour and architecture throughout the seasons.
