About Stowey Mead

This is the garden of the Dower House to the former Sutton Court Estate. It has been lovingly tended and restored over several decades by the current owner. The visitor enters via a lime and horse chestnut avenue, interspersed with yew topiary. Hydrangeas and rhododendrons fill shaded areas leading to a large and productive vegetable garden. In the garden there are some magnificent mature trees and, from the sweeping lawns, the visitor can enjoy some stunning views to the west over the ha-ha.
