The Lovell Quinta Arboretum

This 28 acre arboretum has been established since the1960s and contains around 2,500 trees and shrubs, some very rare. National Collections of Quercus, Pinus and Fraxinus. A large selection of oak, a private collection of hebes plus autumn flowering, fruiting and colourful trees and shrubs. Waymarked walks.

About The Lovell Quinta Arboretum

This arboretum has a large collection of trees and shrubs some of which are very rare. There are more than 60 oak trees, glades, and avenues of birches, balsam poplars, red-twigged limes and the Great Avenue of trees. The radio telescope at Jodrell Bank is visible from the north west corner of the arboretum near the end of the native tree avenue and their are views over the valley of the River Dane.
