Meander a myriad of winding paths through flowers of the King Protea and the handsome Lobster Claw, great blue spires of Echium, brilliant Furcraea, Strelitzia and shocking-pink drifts of Pelargonium. World renowned Tresco Abbey Garden is home to plants from every Mediterranean climate zone, flourishing just 28 miles off the coast of Cornwall. Augustus Smith established Tresco Abbey Garden in the C19 around the ruins of a Benedictine Abbey. Today, the garden is a sanctuary for some 2,000 specimens from across the southern hemisphere and subtropics, from Brazil to New Zealand; Myanmar to South Africa. Please visit www.ngs.org.uk for details of special pop-up event which will be pre booked tickets only. Please note that the gardens and cafe open at 10am and close at 4pm.

You can fly to neighbouring St. Mary’s via fixed wing aircraft from Lands End, Newquay or Exeter, or can travel via ferry from Penzance. There is a short boat journey to Tresco from St. Mary’s.
