The V21 Community Garden is developed and maintained by people with learning disabilities. The garden is designed to be an accessible learning environment. The garden has a newly developed herbaceous flower border, a spring garden, a wildlife pond, bog garden and areas for growing fruit and vegetables. There is also a large polytunnel and glasshouse to extend the growing season.

About V21 Community Garden

The V21 Community Garden is maintained and developed by trainees with learning disabilities and volunteers. The garden is designed to be an accessible learning environment.

The garden has a newly developed herbaceous flower border in front of a selection of beautiful rambling & climbing roses, a Spring garden, wildlife pond, bog garden and areas for growing fruit & vegetables. There is also a large poly tunnel and glasshouse to extend the growing season.

The garden is continuing to undergo redevelopment and improvement driven by the ideas and inspirations provided by our trainees.

The garden has an espaliered apple tree archway, a soft fruit area, a pergola and a 40ft trellis covered with a range of perennial & annual climbers.

The garden is run in partnership with the V21 Oaks Garden Nursery which is also part of V21.
