About Whitehill Farm
Some two acres of gardens and woodland in the Windrush Valley, just east of Burford, with lovely views. There are a number of semi-formal mixed shrub and herbaceous borders including several hundred different perennials, surrounded by more informal plantings of shrubs leading to woodland. There is a small rose garden featuring species roses, and C19 shrub roses, two ponds, with a rill and bog garden and a wild flower meadow with a number of specimen trees. There is an emphasis throughout on ornamental grasses and bamboos, the grasses being at their best in the autumn. The plants are generally labelled, for identification. The garden is maintained by the owners and is cultivated for the enjoyment of plants
