About Winton Park

With stunning views towards the Cumbrian fells, Winton Park is a 5 acre country garden offering much of interest to the plantsman and general garden visitor alike. Planting areas include woodland walks with many fine conifers and Japanese acers, underplanted with ferns and hostas. Twin herbaceous borders lead the eye to views of the open countryside, and in summer several varieties of roses reach their peak. In spring the garden features large banks of rhododendrons. Four formal ponds are complemented by a fountain and statuary, and tucked away behind the formal hedging you will find a hidden wildlife pond. Three ponds serve a waterfall set in a backcloth of summer flowering heathers.
