About Witts End Gardens
The village of Eversholt is situated in rural Mid-Bedfordshire. The village was named after the wild boar which used to live in this part of the country and indeed the boar’s head is still used as the emblem of the village. Two village gardens open as a group, offering a mix of style and design. Willow Lodge is a collaborative vegetable garden, tended by three local people, each sharing in the toil and the spoils of the produce. Established 10 years ago, it is largely organic with a no dig approach. Each day there will be a short demo at 3pm on how to make a no dig garden. Adjoining this is a cooler shady garden where teas and Pimms are served. The Church End garden is pristine. It creates such a pretty picture and shows what can be done in a small space. There will be a walk around the village showing our restored village pond and the church graveyard all tended by volunteers. Pop into the Gren Man pub for a cold drink on your rounds.
