About Witts End Gardens
The village of Eversholt is situated in rural Mid-Bedfordshire in an area of land that was in the old kingdom of Mercia. The village was named after the wild boar which used to live in this part of the country and indeed the boar’s head is still used as the emblem of the village. Two village gardens open as a group, offering a mix of style and design. Witts End Close is set around a historic dwelling from the 1600s and is a cottage garden with views of the surrounding fields. Willow Lodge is a collaborative vegetable garden, tended by four local people, each sharing in the toil and the spoils of the produce. Established 10 years ago, it is largely organic with a no dig approach.
