About Yew Tree Farm
A lovely country garden, set against an attractive Grade II listed C16 farmhouse (not open). The garden extends to approximately one and a half acres and has something of interest for everyone, wholly designed and planted by the owners since the property was purchased in 2007.
Large herbaceous and mixed borders planted to attract butterflies and bees surround the well kept lawns. A large wildlife pond with two bog gardens attracts numerous dragon flies, whilst the woodland garden and shaded borders contain many interesting and unusual plants. A large Mulberry tree forms the centre piece of one lawn. The property has two magnificent Yew trees with preservation orders. A small orchard with bee hives and a variety of fruit trees, including Medlar and Quince is under planted with a wild flower meadow. Stunning reflective pool surrounded by ornamental grasses.
The owners are self sufficient in vegetables supplied from the extensive vegetable plot and greenhouse. A peaceful garden, where wildlife is given a chance to thrive.
