About 231 Grovehill Road
This young garden is still evolving, with a small birch woodland, a circular gravel bed for an ever changing display of pots and containers, a small wildflower bed and a small grass border added in 2025. The planting focuses on British natives, wildflowers, cultivated favourites of the owner and an array of perennials and annuals grown from seed and cuttings in the owner’s greenhouse. The garden surrounds an ex council house and is surrounded itself by hedges in which birds and other wildlife are encouraged to nest and live. The hard landscaping areas have all been made from materials found on site, with very little wastage. The somewhat undisciplined beds and borders are set against neatly trimmed lawns, although weeds also feature in the grass as there are no chemicals used anywhere in the garden.
