About 4 Clyngwyn Road
The garden is situated below the former coal tip of the Tir Bach mine which is known locally as ‘The Patches’. It has grown out of the need to develop a space to have privacy and peace after working shifts as nurses.
It is not a flowery garden but is formed out of shrubs and trees – forming a tapestry of hedging with arches and niches being cut out in order to place seats and sculpture and to produce a visual rhythm.
I am also an artist achieving a Masters in Fine Art in 2021. The garden is as much a part of my artistic vision as my visual output and I now have a small garden studio.
