About 5 Beckett Drive
An unusual and intriguing garden with a few surprises! There are shrubs, perennials, acers and alpines in various planting schemes with hostas and ferns flourishing in a shady area. In the last four years many late flowering clematis have been added to the plant collection. In the height of summer a hot bed is filled with vibrant colour. A path weaves through Cotswold dry stone walling and paved areas creating different levels, with water features complementing the overall design. Since opening for the NGS in 2004 this garden has attracted increasing numbers of visitors who have been inspired by its thoughtful colour schemes and intriguing plant combinations. Many visitors have left this garden with ideas and inspiration of how to develop their own gardens. This prize winning garden, featured on BBC Gardeners’ World in 2021 was designed, constructed, planted out and is maintained by the owners.
