About 5 Priams Way
A fairly small garden with colour, unusual plants, and playful design. The garden is approached through a covered area, filled with a large, productive grapevine and several pots of variously coloured camellias. In the landscaped garden, the pond is surrounded by plants not often seen in the dry climate and chalky soil of Cambridgeshire, such as gunnera, an acer and palms. A lush lawn is surrounded by wide curves of herbaceous borders, restocked following last year’s drought, and a family bbq area with seating enables visitors to stop for a few minutes and admire the acer shrubs and trees, and an unusual oak leaf hydrangea. Metalwork sculptures, mostly made locally, are used to enhance some planting or as stand-alone features.
