About Abbotskerswell Gardens

For 2024 Abbotskerswell Gardens offers nine gardens, with several having been redesigned over the last two years and, in addition, the popular allotments have 22 plots which have been nurtured over many years and show a wide range of skills and production methods.
The different styles of the nine gardens offer something for every visitor, whether you look for inspiration for a small town garden, or the stimulus to redesign your large plot. Pretty Abbotskerswell is particularly known for the friendly welcome it gives all our visitors and many return year after year to see what we have done since last year. Plots display beautiful cottage garden planting, wide herbaceous borders, wildflower areas, specialist plants, dramatic terracing, and new development areas incorporating excellent hard landscaping, pergolas and carefully considered colour schemes. There is an arboretum, a woodland and bog garden, and a gravel garden. If the weather is good, we welcome people to picnic in the field or arboretum at Fairfield. Featured on Radio Devon’s The Potting Shed and attracting wide local press coverage. Maps available at all gardens and in the tearoom at Church House.

Tea and cake served in the historic Church House in the centre of the village. Sales of plants, garden produce, jams and chutneys.
