Allington

An invitation to visit my tranquil front garden leading onto a Rose Garden reminiscent of Victorian times. The colour theories of Gertrude Jekyll are brought to life in the Long Border and you can taste ripe Mulberries in the knot garden. The productive side of the garden inc a potager, a small orchard and a decorative greenhouse.

About Allington

In my 2.3 acre garden, surrounded by Nottinghamshire farmland, stands a majestic oak tree and Scots Pine. Other native trees and mature shrubs enclose this garden created over the last 14 years to complement the Victorian red brick house. The garden is arranged as a series of garden rooms divided by yew hedges, with each room having a different theme. The garden provides a home for wildlife with hedgehogs, hares, green woodpeckers and the occasional visit from a passing inquisitive deer !
