Surrounded by hay meadows and the lightly wooded landscape of the Sussex Weald, this C17 house, with its mullioned windows and oak beams, provided a much needed sanctuary to this world famous writer. Enjoy this peaceful garden and the relaxed formality of spring borders, orchards in bloom, our dazzling Mulberry Garden display or walk to Kipling’s beloved mill by the river as it flows through the naturalised planting of spring bulbs, flowering trees and shrubs as you explore Kipling Country.
