About Clifton Castle
Breathtaking views over lower Wensleydale. The gardens include formal walks through the wooded ‘pleasure grounds’ with abundant wild flowers, affording views over the river from the top path and returning at river level. The walks contain huts, a grotto and follies. The walled kitchen garden is similar to how it was set out in the 19th century. New wild flower meadows have been laid out with modern sculptures.
