About Dutton Hall
The garden at the rear continues to grow and has all been created in the C21. There are some interesting trees and shrubs, particularly Oaks, Willows and Hawthorns with the collection being added to each year. Many have been chosen with autumn colour in mind. The rose collection contains some rarely seen varieties, in addition to the National Collection of Pemberton and Bentall’s Hybrid Musks there are some no longer commercially available which are registered with Plant Heritage under the red label Plant Guardian scheme.
Other features include analemmatic sundial, snail mound viewing platforms, distinctive paths and water feature inspired by the work of Charles Jencks.
