About Hazelwood

The garden is maturing nicely after 20 years of opening. A mix of the love and a lifetimes plant knowledge from Jacqueline and the structures of sculptor Thompson. The entrance is past a parterre box and bay front garden through an arched doorway into the first of two enclosed gardens with millwheel table and pizza oven barbecue area.
The new alpine house was a fern house until we removed some conifers flooding it with light. Across the drive is our daughter Tillys printmaking studio.Next is the beach area with drought tolerant plants with table and hammock.
A gravel path runs under rose arches within herbaceous borders on one side and lawn on the other. The large wildlife pond backed with a sunny bank hides the woodland walk full of shade loving plants.
Past the oak and stone summer house with log burner is Jacqueline’s hardy plant nursery with cottage garden borders in front of a real log cabin housing some of Thompson’s indoor wood carvings.
At the end of the garden is the cutting and veg plot, and the chickens.
.

Extensive sculpture collection, the work of Thompson Dagnall, Printmaking Studio with prints and cards By Tilly Dagnall.
