About Imberhorne Allotments
This well hidden, level allotment site has approximately 80 plots of varying size and is leased from the town council but managed by an allotment association who work tirelessly to maintain a good standard throughout. Crops grown include the usual summer and winter vegetables with a few more unusual varieties included each year as weather patterns change and the range of ethnic origins of our tenants becomes more varied. There is also an increasing range of fruit including grape vines for wine making, a small community orchard and we encourage tenants to grow flowers for the resident pollinating bees. The allotment association has been awarded Certificates of Excellence for a few years by South East in Bloom. It is well worth a visit, visitors are more than complimentary.
