About Kingfishers Care Home
Kingfishers is a care home that prides itself on its garden, understanding the therapeutic benefits it can offer residents. Sunshine, fresh air, and a colourful, tranquil space do wonders for the mind, body, and soul. Whether sitting beside scented roses, strolling to discover the latest flowering shrub, or finding a shady corner to share with friends and relatives, every element of this garden has been thoughtfully designed.
The pergola provides a home for many climbers, including roses. Herbaceous borders burst with vibrant colour, while the greenhouse offers culinary delights. The vegetable patch promises a bountiful harvest, and the shingle bed demonstrates what thrives in a hot, dry border. Sculptures are thoughtfully placed to provide year-round intrigue. Gazebos offer shady sanctuaries, complemented by the calming sound of water.
There are countless elements for visitors and residents to explore, and we are proud to open our garden for the National Garden Scheme, sharing it with fellow garden enthusiasts.
Visitors can also enjoy home-made teas and cakes prepared by our in-house chef, with dietary requirements happily catered for.
